Signing Up: Amazon Relay carrier program requirements

Amazon Relay is a program for semi-trucks and box trucks to haul cargo from warehouse to warehouse. The peak season for Amazon Relay is mid-November through the first week of January, with the weeks surrounding Amazon Prime Day being another optimal time to run Amazon Relay loads.

Amazon Relay has something for everybody. The great thing about Relay Load Board is you can search for a load quickly, originating anywhere in the US. Blocks are also available on Relay Load Board so I can get a round trip and not have to look for back-hauls. Here are the requirements to carry loads for Amazon:

- A DOT number, with interstate authority and that has been active for a minimum of 180 days

- A “Carrier” entity type that is Authorized for Property and for Hire - A Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Safety Rating of “Satisfactory,” “None,” or “Not Rated”

1. Unsafe Driving below 60%

2. HOS Compliance below 60%

3. Vehicle Maintenance below 75%
