Kroger has collaborated with Gatik to deploy autonomous box trucks to transport products from Kroger's Customer Fulfillment Center in Dallas to various retail locations. This collaboration aims to enhance the shopping experience for Kroger's customers by increasing the speed and responsiveness of e-commerce order fulfillment, reducing costs, and providing dedicated capacity across the supply chain's middle mile.
Gatik's autonomous box trucks are designed to transport a wide range of products, including ambient, refrigerated, and frozen goods, and feature a cold chain-capable 20-foot box. The collaboration involves repeated delivery runs multiple times a day, seven days a week, across Kroger's Dallas distribution network.
